My mom has a newer mustang with Nitto 555's on it and I lucked out will be getting these tires for free, so I'm gonna order a set of Torq thrust 2's but wanted to know what size rims I need. To run the 275/40/R17 do I have to run a 9.5" width wheel, or does that fit on an 8" wheel too? How about the front, is that 245 for an 8" wheel? Just wanna make sure I get what's gonna work, and also if you guys know the rear spacing i'll need please let me know. Car has stock rear end with drum brakes all the way around.

I have a very similar combo, I have 235 on the front with 8" Boyd rims, and 255 on the rear with 9.5" Boyds. I am going to change the rear tires to 275 or 285 though because the 255 on 9.5" rims are not quite wide enough for the muscle car look. I went with 5" backspacing on the front and 5.5 on the rear.
