Ok I know that these questions are asked all the time and I have searched and have not been able to find a definate answer to my questions. I am buying new wheels so that I can have more tire options. I am going with 16x8 rear and 16x7 front.should I get 4" or 5" bacspacing? I was thinking 4" on the front and 5" int the rear? also what is the biggest street drag radial I can get on the rear with these wheel sizes? any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are not many tire size choices fo 16" rims. Many more for 17". I suggest you pick out a tire size first, then look for rims.

Do you have rear discs or plan on upgrading from the drums. I'd say on the 7" run 4.75 inch of b.s. and on the rear 5 with disc brakes in mind. Look at BFGoodrich's site and Nitto tires site for street drag radial sizes. You might find what you're looking for? Make sure your suspension bushings are in good shape.
