I am wanting to put some large meat under my ride, 285/35/18 on 18x10 TTII's. Will they fit without mini tubing and if so, what backspacing?

Depends how much rubbing you're willing to live with. All of these cars are a little different. Ride height and brakes are also a factor. The largest size that actually fits is a 275 tire on a 9.5" wheel with 5.5" of backspace. Some of the guys running that combo say they get rubbing on the inside. There are cars running 10" wide wheels though. There is a '69 over at www.pro-touring.com that belongs to Rich Downing that has 285/35-18s on 18x10 TTs and he said they rub bad. So measure real well and if you still decide on the 10" wheel you may want to at least drop down to a 275 tire. Good Luck - Jack
