15x5 Trim Rings

Question regarding trim rings. I have a set of original 1967 15x5 trim rings (pictured). What is the difference between the 15x5 and the 15x6 trim rings used on the 67 Z28. Thank, Tom

Re: 15x5 Trim Rings

Never heard of factory 15x5 rally wheels. All 67 (and 68) Z/28's had 15x6.

Re: 15x5 Trim Rings

Garth, Let me rephrase the question. How does the 15x5 trim rings differ from the 15x6 rings? I have a set of mint 15x5 trim rings off a 67 Caprice that I am going to sell. Thanks, Tom

Re: 15x5 Trim Rings

Thanks, I didn't know GM offered 15x5...

There's some pics here https://www.camaros.net/forums/133-bu...stored-79.html of Chick's DF code wheels. Maybe he will pick up on this or send him a PM. From the depth of the valve stem slot, I'm thinking yours are the same. Out of curiosity, what's the backspace on your 5" wheels and do they have a code ?
DF (15x6) are 4 1/16" BS.

Re: 15x5 Trim Rings

15x5 Rally wheels were coded DB, and were only used on 1967 full size passenger cars (wagons got 15x6) with disk brakes.

The 15X5 Rally Wheels I have are DB. Not sure of the backspace. Will check tonight.
