3.75" backspacing on the front of a 69?

My 69 came with a set of factory Rally's with 215/65/15's at all 4 corners. As much as I like Rally's, I'd like to upgrade to an aftermarket set of wheels to really make my car pop.

I love the polished Torque Thrust II's. I see several eBay sellers selling sets of 15x7 for the front and 15x8 for the rear for 1st Gen Camaro's. I'm shopping for a set along with BF Goodrich Radial T/A's.

The 15x8 rears are advertised with 4.5" backspacing which should work perfectly with the 255/60/15's I want to run. But the 15x7 fronts are advertised with 3.75" backspacing. My plans are to run a 215/65/15 on the front and I'm wondering if this offset will be OK.

My car has a stock front and rear suspension with disc brakes on the front. Is anyone else running this combo and do you have any clearance issues based on the 3.75" backspacing??

Thanks in advance for the info.

Greg

I will just comment and let others that actually have tried the 3.75 bs but I think your tire will be hitting the fender lip on turns unless you have the front end up high.
I run 4.25 bs in front and 3.5 in rear but thats only because I have a slightly narrower Moser 12 bolt rear end.

I am running American Racing 200S 15x7 wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A 215/65/15's with 3.75" backspacing up front with no problems; stock suspension.

This is what 3.75" bs with 245/60R15 looks like. I had a rubbing issue only until I had the car aligned. I also had to use button head bolts on the rear wheel well to fender mount. Now it takes just the right bump and turn for any contact at all. To be honest, I think the contact has completely stopped now. (Not because of wear lol...)
