Disc brake center caps on a 69?

Is anyone running them? I've got 15x8" Rally's at all 4 corners. I'm running 215/65/15's in the front and 255/60/15's in the rear.

Right now I have the standard trim rings and derby style center caps, but I feel like so does everyone else. I have plans to upgrade wheels and tires next winter but for now I'm just thinking about changing up my look a little by swapping out the derby style center caps for the shorter disc brake style.

Anyone have any pics of this set up on a 69?

You can usually find a few offered on ebay by the regular dealers; here's some from a quick search:
1969 Chevrolet Camaro | eBay
1969 Chevrolet Camaro | eBay
1969 Chevrolet Camaro | eBay

1969 04A Van Nuys-built Z/28. Cortez Silver with dark blue interior and VE3. Sold Clippinger Chevrolet. Raced at Lions in LA.

Wow so many fails with those listed ebay cars from descriptions to badging. The last one, RS? There is not one RS thing on that car.

What is he actually looking for? Stock caps and rings or shorter derby caps?

^ I didn't post those ebay links for the cars to be picked up on every incorrect detail (there are many!), just in response to the OP's request for pictures of a '69 with earlier style shorter disc brake caps instead of Rally wheel derby caps.

Sorry wasn't trying to start anything. They were just so obvious I found it unbelievable that they would actually post ads like that.

The disc brake center cap certainly is a different look.

Re: Disc brake center caps on a 69?

Looking at the white Z it appears to have 15 x 8 vette wheels and early model derby caps. This is not the original for 69. Just something someone decided to mix together.
If that's what the original poster is asking.

Wow, that white "Z/28" with the Orange stripes is just so wrong on many levels! I am almost speechless! Thought it was a Z10 for a moment, but no

Yellow X44 "SS" with the broken speedo is another piece of work, Sheesh!

And the Blue "RS" or "Z" with an auto ad made me laugh

Tim, I think we know your intentions. You just couldn't have picked any better of 3 cars to criticize. On a serious note, they do give the 69 a different look. Not bad in my opinion.

Inevitable, if you deliberately go looking for cars with a non-original item, that one detail will just be the tip of the iceberg from an incorrect perspective

Re: Disc brake center caps on a 69?

My car has the stock style derby caps. Eventually I'm looking to upgrade to a set of aftermarket wheels. But for now I am just looking for something different. Realistically the only thing I can do to factory style Rally's is to change the center caps.

I've tossed around the idea of swapping the derby's for disc brake center caps. Some of those pics posted look decent and they make my decision a little tougher.

Hard to say what's best. Here's my ride with derby caps:

Something different, that's what I was up against. I have the stock ralley set up from factory, then I was looking for a change.

So , I went with ET spoke wheels, go to shows , then someone says, the ralley look better. I change back to ralley. Then again, where are the ET wheels?

Never ends.

Never ends. But I like your car as it is, maybe some larger tires. I run 245 x 60,
