I don't carry a spare since i had my trunk interior redone with carpet and panels. I have the AAA membership with 4 free tows in case i need them. I only drive my car 2 times per week also.

Will wheels off a 12 or newer Camaro fit a 69?

Be careful. When I asked the same question, everyone told me I needed to get a cellular telephone.

An 18" donut spare tire out of a 2014 Camaro clears my Wilwood 14 inch rotor and 4 piston caliper.

Re: Help big brakes and spare tire

Maybe you should just put run-flats on the car like the Vettes use.

1967 RS/SS 350 Conv - triple black, 4sp, tach & gauges

1969 VN-built RS/SS 396 Conv - Garnet Red/Black, 4-sp, tach & gauges

Re: Help big brakes and spare tire

BMW rims have a close bolt pattern, you need 5 x 120.7mm, BMW 5 x 120mm, older rims have a offset that might work.
Small spacesaver rims are costly cause everyone wants them for vettes as well, try finding 2004-2006 GTO spares.
When it all said and done see if you can find a single 17 or 18 inch rim and a tire, it might be cheaper in the long run.

Re: Help big brakes and spare tire

All of the above, sort of... I have a space saver and plan to get a wheel spacer so it can be used front or rear but haven't gotten it yet. I carry a can of fix-o-flat, a cell phone and have 200 mile towing through AAA. Been many years and many long drives and (knock on wood) haven't needed any of the items mentioned. I keep planning on getting a plug kit and a 12v emergency compressor to replace the fix-o-flat because I really don't want to deal with the green slime.

Re: Help big brakes and spare tire

GTO spares command a premium price, you can probably find a newer Camaro spare a lot cheaper.
