1967 camaro RS tire fitment

HI I am trying to get bigger tires without worrying about rubing and to get a little more traction. Right now I have 225/60/15 with 15/7 4.25bs all around. I just want wider back tires. And maybe a little taller to give it a better look. What's a good size tire with the same rim? Thanks in advance

245/60/15 is safe. 255 with 4.25 bs is borderline, imo. Anything wider will rub unless you have it raised up with a stiff suspension.

If I can fit the 255/60/15 would it be to tall if it went 255/70/15?

255/70, if there is such a size, would look like a truck tire (too tall), imo.

You can go wider, but the tire won't fit under the wheel well, so modifications to the suspension are needed.

I am going thru the same thing right now and 1 member is telling me and he had pics that a 17 inch 9.5 wide rim and a 5.5 bs will fit and you can run a 265 40 or he had a 18 inch 9.5 wide rim with a 6.0 bs and had a 175 40 tire and it cleared
