What size tire.

Hi all,

I was wondering what size tire do you all run? I have 245/45/17 in the Kuhmo Ecsta series. It could be better, I can actually see the wear bands on the rear tires. So, I think it's time for a change.

Thanks,

Re: What size tire.

I like American brand tires and the profits stay in America same with the GM cars I have owned. Having preached that, BFG, Cooper and Goodyear have the sizes you will need. 245-45-17, 235-45-17.

Re: What size tire.

OK, I've narrowed it down to a set of BF Goodrich G-force Sport Comp-2 in 245/45/17 or the G-force Sport Comp-2 A/S (all season). I'm not going to be running around in the ice and snow, so I'm leaning towards the Sport Comp-2. Which is about $5.00 cheaper than the A/S per tire. Anyone run either of these and have comments, please share.

Thanks,

I decided to change things up a bit and from the good ol'faithful BFG radial T/A's and opted for the Sport-Comp 2's, big difference in the handling characteristics on the car now, mind you mine are 18's all around.
I might suggest that you go up to the 255/45/17's.....overall diameter is 26.1" as compared to the 245's which are at 25.7". Which might help fill the wheelwell a bit more. You're call.
