Wheel & tire combo..

Let's beat this dead horse one more time... PLEASE

I went through the '67 only wheel tire combo thread and see more than a few running 17x9.5 5.5bs .. What's it take to run 18x10 ? or can you without mini tubs and offset shackles? What about 17x10? Not looking to jack the car up, looking to do a 2" drop at some point but would like to put rims & tires on it now and will also work with the suspension kit when I do it. Going for the pro tour look

fronts I see are typically 17x8 4.5bs. Is that the biggest you can go without rubbing?

I'm probably going with Centerline Lazers, any comments on them?

I'm looking to put the biggest meat I can under there

Re: Wheel & tire combo..

I had L60s under the car without it jacked up back in the day. Thats a 12 section tire and it just kissed the wheel well return when it squated. If i had rolled the wells it would have cleared clean. Now i have 295/45- 18 on minitubs and its pretty roomy. You may find yourself frustrated by tire size availability.

67RSSS......owned since 69. A basket case for most of it.
