I’m in Australia, with very different time zone and work a job that makes it hard to juggle a phone call to USA at the right times. I will try calling in the next 24hrs to 48hrs if I can.

A live website does not mean much though.....depends when they last paid their bill...could be paid months in advance and stay live when business is gone.

That link I posted was an auction for all the plant and stock. They were even offering the IP. Fixed auction, with a fixed date, with everything for sale. Set for late last month.

Not “for sale”, but a forced sale at auction. That’s pretty “final” type of thing.

If someone else on forum can call...would be helpful.

Otherwise will to my best to get onto them from Australia.

Re: Vintage Wheel Works....out of business???

Auction notice looks official, looks like they're toast. Too bad if this is the case; I like my VWW wheels. We'll see what John comes up with when he calls.

Re: Vintage Wheel Works....out of business???

I called three times about 10 minutes apart since they’re posted opening time of 8 AM Pacific

Got voicemail all three times left a message to call back that we are trying to confirm whether or not they are still in business.

Oh no... This is not good news. I love my V45's. Always thought they were a great company. Disappointing if they are gone.

That definitely sucks if they are going out of business. Great wheel styles!

Re: Vintage Wheel Works....out of business???

Well their cloud services may have expired, I cannot tell for sure. I see that they have no DNS MX record. This means no inbound email will be delivered. They do have a reverse DNS SMTP record, but that's issued by the ISP, not their webhosting service. Their SSL certificate for https://www.vintagewheelworks.com/ has www.hoster907.com in the name, that's all kind of wrong. They also have no SPF DNS record, these have been common for 10 years or so, its time to get one. I think whoever renews their cloud services forgot to renew the domain and associated services, and the domain got "parked" for a while at hoster907 (I cant tell who that is). It's my wild guess that the registrar will allow the domain to be renewed for a week or so. Just guessing though!

Re: Vintage Wheel Works....out of business???

I had asked for quotes for some other VWW stockists - none seem to be carrying the line of wheels anymore. Hmmmm....

I am thinking they are gone guys and that is a real shame.

I was about to order a set - so then again - maybe I am lucky I did not order.

VWW were still quoting me prices at the end of last month - just before it business was due to go to auction.

Wonder if they would have taken my order and my money and then simply closed the doors???

Hope no-one else has been caught out.
I got a feeling they might have been taking orders right to the end. They were definitely quoting me just before the fire sale auction - that I can validate.

Not good if they were doing that.

Re: Vintage Wheel Works....out of business???

They may be in transition. Idk. Usually they would try to sell the company and maybe no buyers so auction the assets.

Some distributors may have stock on hand.

I would not order at this time.

I did not get a response to my voicemails I left

Re: Vintage Wheel Works....out of business???

I called them today. Apparently they're just farming out some of their machine work, but still very much in business.
