Rev Wheels and Hotchkis

Hi. Ive been looking at the rev wheel 107s for my 68 but want to make sure they will fit. Does anybody have rev wheels 17 or 18s installed with the hotchkis 1.5/2 inch front and rear lowering springs? If you do would you mind sharing the width you went with in front and back and your tire size? Thanks in advance, Nick

Let me revise my question to refer to the rev wheel sizes and backspacing. Could be other brand wheels in these sizes. Does anyone have the following wheel sizes with the Hotchkis 2/1.5 lowered set up?

17 x 8s rear 4.5 inchbackspacing
17 x 7s front 4 inch backspacing
Or
17x9s rear 5 inch backspacing
17x8s front 4.5 inch backspacing

If you do if you could let me know tire size and if you have any rubbing i appreciate it. Thanks.

Re: Rev Wheels and Hotchkis

Just for reference,
I run a front 18"x 8 x 4.875 back space
My rear is narrowed 2" but for a stock width rear it would be equivalent to 18"x 9 x 5.375 back space
Disc brakes front and back.

My car has Hotchkis 3" drop springs front and back.

Thanks for the info. What size tires do you run? Any rubbing at all?

235/40/18 front, it kisses the frame at full lock with my aftermarket power steering gearbox. I'm going to a 245 next anyway.

275/35/18 back, I see a little paint rubbed on inside wheel tub were it would be when fully compressed. my car is pretty low.

Lol...was just researching the same question! Need to see pics of 67/68 with these wheels. My 67 has Hotchkis 3" drop so need to make sure they clear everything

Thanks for the information. I ended up ordering american racing vn506 rallys. 17 x7 for the front with 4 inch backspacing and 17 x 9 for the rear with 5.5 backspacing. I will use a spacer in the back if i need to bring it out a little. The fronts arrived and i mocked them up. Fit looks perfect. The rears will arrive today and i will see if i need a spacer or not.

ILikeIke thanks for the information. The 17 x 9 with 5.5 backspacing and a 255 nitto tire fits great with plenty of clearance. No rubbing at all. Looking at the clearance i am pretty sure i could fit a 275 in there with a 1/4 inch spacer. Maybe next set of tires in a few years.
