Minilites or no?

Well they are not actual Minilites rather the copies made by Trans Am Race Engineering, staggered set 15x7 front and 15x8 rear 4/4.5" bs respectively. I did a quick mock up on photoshop of what they would look like on my car as well as yellow letters on the Coopers. Obviously I'm going for the mag wheel, goodyear eagle look of the Trans Am cars, I just can't get the thought out of my head, as a kid the Sunoco Camaro was on my wall as a poster and I've never shook the love for that car. So my question is, yay or nay? The wheels are too lightly colored from the factory so I was thinking of having them powder coated a dark mag grey, thoughts?

current rally wheels for comparison

Re: Minilites or no?

Really like the wheels, but not so much the gold or gold lettering.
Why not though. Can easily change them if you change your mind.

yeah you have to use your imagination on the color of the wheels, my photoshop skills are very limited hahaha, they are supposed to be a gunmetal grey like a raw magnesium wheel.

Re: Minilites or no?

The Sunoco and Yunick Camaros are what made me want a Camaro since I was a a kid in the 70s. They call the stance pro-tour now.

I like the wheels,
the color would look good to ME if your car was Sunoco blue. definitely a gray like you're thinking or some other dark color.

Gotta be careful the color of the wheel isnít lost against the carís paint. Donít dismiss the polished rim version without considering it. If you are getting them powder coated by a third party anyway you can play with color a little bit before you commit. Great looking wheel.

Re: Minilites or no?

I like them. How about these, natural finish, no super-shiny rim, come in 16" and 17".

Vintage Wheel Works

yes I agree I don't want them to get lost on the body, thats why I'm thinking darker than body color, I suppose lighter could be good also. I agree I don't mind the silver and polished it does look good. I just think that its like putting lipstick on a pig, my deck lid and roof are rusty, dents all over, paint peeling and scratches. Are shiny rims too much?

horrible photo im sorry

but this is the color I'm after

I have the wheels already I am a stickler for 15s, to me all of that tire makes the whole look of the package.
