Help with wheel size please

Looked at a set of Coys c-5 wheels for my 68 camaro stock height. I was recommended a size of 18 by 9.5 on rear with 18 by 8 up front. Tires are a 275 40 in rear and 225 45 in front. Backspacing is 5 and a half. This was recommended by Coys. Will this work the back wheels seems very large. What do you guys recommend. I’ve been looking at wheels for a month and can’t seem to find much on 18” sizes.

Re: Help with wheel size please

These are the generally accepted backspacing specs. Says 17 but same for 18. Iíll let one of the 67/68 guys respond on the 275. I know it works on a 69.

17x7 = 4.25"bs
17x8 = 4.75"bs
17x8.5 = 5" bs
17x9 = 5.25"bs
17x9.5 = 5.5" bs

Thank you for your post. I think those backspacing will work on the 68. I’m not sure about a 9.5 width though lol. Is there a chart somewhere on here that I’m not seeing for the wheels and tire combinations? Does anyone have the coys wheels?

Re: Help with wheel size please

I went with 17x8x0 all around with 255/45 and 235/45. Pretty munch the same height as stock and doesn't look out of place with no rubbing. Foose Knuckles.
