Rear Rub when turning

Ok I have stock 69 Camaro. with 12 bolt and multi leaf springs.
I just put on some torque thrust wheels and tires. 9.5 wheel with 5.5 backspacing. The tires are 255/50/R17.
Everything seems good except when turning right, then the driver side tire rubs on the inner side wall. Trying to determine if this tire is just to big or if I have something else going on.

That 50 series is too tall when combined with the width of the 255. A 255/45 is an inch shorter. You could try to raise the back end a bit but a 255/45 shouldn't give you any problems. I run 255/45 R17 on the back of my '69 ragtop. Some guys are getting away with a 275 width tire but run a 40 series sidewall.

The staggered shocks probably have something to do with why it only ribs on one side if everything else is aligned and centered properly.
