Question Anyone Running 17's Front & 18's Rear??!!

Can i run 18" rims in the back with Hotchkis' Sport Leaf Springs? The rims i want are only made in 18x9, or a 17x10 for the rears. What backspacing and tire size should you get on an 18" wheel? I've gotta order them before my suspension and brakes arrive.

Cool Re: Anyone Running 17's Front & 18's Rear??!!

Some people have used 5 1/4,5 3/8,or 5 1/2 backspace. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. For a tire a 255/45-18 or a 275/40-18 should work with no problem. It also depends on what aspect ratio front tire you are using. If your going with a 40 series front tire you may also consider a 275/35-18 if you want to stay away from a big height difference from front to rear. Don't forget by using 17s and 18s you are already starting with a 1" difference. I'm not saying that's a bad thing - it depends on how much rake you are after.

Is there good rim clearance with the Baer Brakes? I've got my Track System for the front, and Sport System for the back on order. Along with my Hotchkis TVS System, 2" Drop front, and 1.5" drop rear. My problem is that the rims i want are only available 17x8 or 17x10. I want a 9 in wide rim for the rear, but they only make it in a 18. And i don't want a super high rake in the back. I need to know what tire & rim dimensions do i need, to get the wheel wells filled nicely with no rubbing.
