Year One GM wheels

Like everyone here, I have been looking for the correct wheel and tire combination for a stock 68 camaro with disc up front and drums in the rear. I have been through all the hub centric and lug centric posts and feel as though I am getting close to making a purchase but have just one question.

Year One has GM wheels, 15 x 7, but they don't mention anything about backspacing and do not offer any choices. Has anybody purchased these? Will the same rim work on the front and the rear? I am liking these rims simply because they seem to be only ones that are hub centric.

If these will work what tires will mount without rubbing?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Year One GM wheels

The Year One part number UR-689 (15 x 7") has a 4.25" backspace, the same bs as was installed on Z-28's.

Kelsey Hayes continues to only make three sizes,..a 14" x 7, 15 x 7, and a 15 x 8 (for Vettes).

Good call,..going with the OEM wheel.

Re: Year One GM wheels

Smart to go with original wheels...I went through a (3) month Wheel Vintiques brand horror story, that was very costly!

Ended up having to return 7 BAD out of round wheels- no qualiy control evidently.

Bought Kelsey and rides great again- the aftermarkets from Wheels Vintique were rally's but not hubcentric.

good luck
