screwing slicks to the rims

About how many screws do you install on each rim? I have 15" rims.

I did 8 per side, 16 total per rim.

Unhappy Re: screwing slicks to the rims

a guy ruined a brand new set of cragars on a 69 camaro I had one time he drilled about 10 holes in each !! like that he had a motor that was going to turn the wheel inside the tire geeez !! I kept them for a long time and I would lay awake at night trying to come up with some way to fix the wheel's they were cherry other than the hole's , I finally decided I had tortured myself enough and just went out one day and put them on the trash truck man those were nice wheel's !!!

Re: screwing slicks to the rims

I use 6 or 8 per side depending. As for those Cragars, you could have cut the screws off and put them in with some loc-tite. It'd look like you were running screws, but the wheel would have been fine.

Camcojb, what did you use for spacing between the screws?

Re: screwing slicks to the rims

The only problem I had in using the Moroso screws was the length of screw. Both tubes had holes caused by the length being too long.

Use 45* for 8 screws.
