What tires?

I know. I know. This is a Camaro website, but this is targeted at a 2000 T/A. (I am a die hard 1st Gen Camaro Fan if it's any consulation)I'm in need of new tires for my T/A. It's bone stock and will continue to stay that way for a while so I don't need slicks by any means. They'll be on 16" rims and what's on there now is Bridgestone Potenza 245/50/16(I do like the look of these, as far as sidewall thickness goes. Not real sure if that's stock size or not). What I do need is a good street tire that isn't really expensive, get good milage from, good in rain, and will semi hook( and withstand speeds up to 120). My biggest factor is $. So best bang for the buck would be good. I hope I'm not looking for something that doesn't exist so hopefully you can give me insight. I may be able to set a poll if we get enough responses for future references. Thanks for the help. You guys always come through. Jason Hopson

That size is stock. What is your budget per tire?

Re: What tires?

Sorry for the delay in my response. I posted last night about ten minutes 'til bedtime and worked all day. Anyways, I got on tirerack.com and figured around 100-120$ a piece.

Re: What tires?

I like my Nitto's. They hook really good and are not too expensive. I looked at the Potenza's but pretty pricey$$$

Re: What tires?

I've got a set of General Exclaim UHP's on my daily driver right now. Great tire so far, sticky, great wet traction, and pretty cheap. I've only had em on for 2000 miles so we'll see how durable they are. Definitely not an all season tire though. The people on tirerack seem to love em.
