Tire sizes for 15x7 ralleys

I have a 67 RS which currently has 235 60 15s. Is this ok for the front ? Should I try a 255 60 on the rear? I want as much tire as possible without rubbing the inner fenders and not too big for the 7 inch wide wheel. Are 8 " ralleys a good fit for the rear ?

That is the exact combo I have on my 67. All on 15 X 7. Hope this helps.

That combo will work. I run P235/60/R15's on my 1969 all the way around. They are on 15x7 Rally's as well. You could get away with a 15x7 or 15x8 Rally with a P255/60/R15 on the rear if you wish.

I've got 245/60/R15 on a '68 with 15x7 and no rub issues. But, its very close on the front.

the 255/235 combo is just about perfect for that muscular old school look.

you don't plan sincerity.
you have to make it up on the spot.

Yes, 255/60/15 on a 15x8 with 4.25 or 4.5" backspace is a good rear match for a 67-68; this pic is with those in the rear and 215/65/15 up front on 15x7's. I couldn't fit 235/60's up front due to lowering and suspension mods.

Exactly the same set up but the 255/60R15 rubs on a big bump with 4 people in the car.Thats also o a 69 vert with air shocks on the back so I can stiffen it up a little more

Craig, Do you still have the mono leaf set up or did you convert over to multi?
