New Budnik Ice wheels

Check out my new wheels. 17x8 & 18x9 What do you think? Should I leave the 4" hood or go back to my stock 2" cowl hood? What about the tinted windows?

I like the wheels. Looks great. Personally, I would go back to the 2" hood.

Nice car, very sharp. I agree.. the tints good and go with the 2" hood. The tall hood and big wheels don't go well together.

Re: New Budnik Ice wheels

The wheels look nice. What backspacing did you go with and what size tires?

Agreed on the 2" hood.

Backspacing 4.875" on front and 5.5" on back. 245/45/17 & 275/40/18.

Re: New Budnik Ice wheels

A 67 or 68 can take a 4 inch hood, but the 69 for some reason just does not look right with it. Looks great and I agree go back to the 2 inch hood.

Re: New Budnik Ice wheels

I agree with others on the 2" hood....

Did you have to trim your rear inner fenders to get the 18"'s to fit without rubbing?

Did you consider 18"s on the front? just wondering if there was a clearance problem ?

Thanks,
Keith

Re: New Budnik Ice wheels

I did consider 18's for the front but decided on 17 for two reasons:
1. the 17's were cheaper
2. I wanted more tire profile.

The rear fits fine with plenty of clearance, even though the lips are rolled.

Re: New Budnik Ice wheels

Wheels & tint look great! 2" hood would be more sleak. But those wheels look hot, beautiful ride!
