Have an original power steering pump on myy 69 Camaro and I am going to be installing a new pulley. My pulley has the tappered notch in the middle of the hole and it also has the nut. What is the proper way to install the pulley? Some show using a pulley installer, but I believe that is only newer models. Can someone explain the steps for an original old stock pulley? Thanking you in advance.
Sounds like you do have a 6o pump. If it has a nut and a keyway, just tap it on with a hammer. It should not take much to seat. If re using the nut, I would use a little locktite.
