This is a picture of my wiring harness on my 68 right above the wiper motor. There are two black wires that come off as you can see. One goes to the front and is hanging near the voltage regulator the other is just hanging by the power brake booster. Any ideas?
The one that’s run towards the front hooks into a wired style connector which the runs to the horn relay and just hangs. The other runs about behind the PB booster and is hanging. As gas as I can tell, everything works in the car it’s just that I noticed it for the first time today after 15 years.
Interesting... I have the hanging one as well. Perhaps it’s for an option we don’t have. Can’t figure out the other one either... it runs to the horn relay and isn’t connected. As suggested that could be for a under hood light that I don’t have. My wiring harness is original for sure.
Looks custom shall we say. Same w/ the tape on the harness. I'd strip the tape in the area and start looking for splices. BTW, harness tape is what was used originally an has no adhesive. Electrical tape bad.
