stainless chambered exhaust... where to buy

i want to put a stainless chambered exhaust on my 69Z.

anyone know of a good system that is available?

i had a gardners on, but it was regular steel. and starting to rust and very crackly... i have a stainless chambered system on my vette and love it (much more mellow sounding but still rocks when you nail it) i cant seem to find the guys who made that system though... so i'm looking for something.

thanks

You might try Allens Stainless Exhaust. Their web site is mostly Corvette but I got an aluminized system from them for my Camaro. They might have the chambered system. I am happy with the aluminized system, after 6 years of almost daily summer driving it is still in great condition.

No experience personally, so I can't comment on sound/quality, but:

Rick's first gen has them:

CORRECT CHAMBERED EXHAUST SYSTEMS
Chambered systems are accurate reproductions of original
GM and the long unavailable Memory Lane reproduction.
Concourse quality, all crimps, bends, flat spots and welds
like original. Chambered sections are one piece, not
welded sections, with correct end crimps. Over axle tube
with folds as original. Now available in aluminized steel (6
year warranty) or lifetime warranty T-304 stainless steel. Add
the technically correct hanger kit with your order and save!

They don't make stainless currently but are aluminized. Can check sound/vid clips on their site too.

Re: stainless chambered exhaust... where to buy

My uncle purchased a stainless kit for his 69Z from Rick's, he was attempting to install it over the holiday and was complaining about how hard the stainless was. He broke two muffler clamps included with the kit when trying to tighten to stop the leaks where pipes slid together. I mentioned Gardner's in upstate NY (Redhook)I believe). He messed with it for another week, then gave up took it all off and sent it back. At that point he ordered a kit from Gardner's(I don't know if it was stainless) about 2 weeks ago I got a call on Sat. night thanking me for recommending Gardner's talking about how easy it was to install how well every thing fit all parts are labeled and clamps bagged separately and labeled. They're reported to make the best concourse exhaust but I don't know if they make in stainless. They have web site, you'll have to use a search, I don't know it off hand.
