Year One crate engine

Does anyone have any experience (or opinion) about this engine? It sounds REAL good for the price.

Question Re: Year One crate engine

Your link just takes you to a page of items they sell v.s. a specific engine ...
The sell GM Performance Parts assemblies - you can get the same engines from Summit in your home town for less.
Here's a link to Summits offerings so you can compare pricing yourself - http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...831+115+400129

Re: Year One crate engine

The year one part number is: CT350PC1

400hp - 400 tq --> .030 over 350. = $2990.
Summit does not offer anything like that.

Re: Year One crate engine

Seasond block, ported heads

They're doing rebuilds and making performance mods. Nothing too different than any machine shop does. Probably having them done by local shop or re-selling from another source. I'm sure they're just trying to capture another line of business.

I'm sure they're decent, I run pretty much the same short block except mine is unbored.

No Camaro for now
