I am restoring a 68RS with the goal of it being mostly original, with a few performance related bolt-ons. I'd like to get the performance of an aftermarket intake with the looks of original. The engine is the original 327/275hp, and I'll be running a moderate cam, holley 650 dp with headers and 2.5" exhaust.

Are there any suggestions for aftermarket manifolds that more closely resemble stock aluminum, in terms of looks, vaccuum fitting placement, oil fill inlet, etc?

Not knowing what material you want, I would suggest a dual plane Holley street dominator H 300-36 , Edlebrock Performer E7101,2101 , they are about the same price. If you really want to look stock, look for a used Z28 intake. All can be used with a stock low profile air cleaner. Check hood clearance on air cleaner bolt before you slam hood shut. There are many options here.

a performer RPM looks a lot like the stock 69 Z28 intake.
grind off the Edelbrock logo, and get someone that is good with a tig welder to put the firing order on it like the stocker.
of course, the Weiand intakes have the firing order on them, but the heater hose connection comes out straight up instead of at an angle like stock, so it doesn't look quite right.

Seems to me that GM makes a cast iron version of the Z28 intake.
