is this cam ok?

for a 305 that i am building. I asked for a "step" above stock. they said this is their "upgraded" cam. I will be using -601 heads.

specs:

valve lift .420 .443
cam lift .280 .295

That's basically a standard "RV" cam, a great performance upgrade in a small V-8. We ran a similar cam in a 283 we roadraced in Mexico several years ago.

Ah, the old "Performer" cam..

It is a great, "one step above" the old stock -929 type hy-cam, imho!!
