intake bolts

I'm installing an Air Gap intake on a ZZ383 with aluminum heads using ARP stainless bolts. Will it be ok to use some anti-sieze on the threads? Thanks.

Re: intake bolts

I've also read where the bolts are supposed to be torqed at. Wih the specs being so low do you think it will be a problem with them backing out? It has something to with crushing the gasket if their torqed too tight.

Re: intake bolts

the gasket/torque specs are correct. Alum is very different from cast.....Antiseize should be required. You run it without it and 25,000 miles down the road you cant get them out...same for the spark plugs and such.

Re: intake bolts

You also might want to check a couple bolt lengths about the intake pushrods. Cyl's # 4 & 5, I think. But check all of them.

If bolt is too long, the bolt scores the pushrod. I use 3/8-16X1 inch length.
