Valve cover leak?

I just got my new GM crate engine running. The valve covers are leaking like crazy. I use the chrome covers that were on the old engine. Anyone have a solution? I used Felpro gaskets and Edelbrock Gasgacinch sealer on the cover side only.
I also need a solution for my cooling fan. It is a Flex-a-lite fan. The problem is the belt keeps squealing no matter how tight I have the alternator.
