Stock pulley diameters for 69 427????

Hi guys, does anyone know the stock pulley sizes and number of grooves for a 69 427 BB?
I will be running power steering, water pump and alt.
I built from scratch so I have nothing to judge by.
Thanks in advance
Jeff

Re: Stock pulley diameters for 69 427????

The pulley you need is the three groove #3937788 which will suit any 69 BBC with N40 power steering, and/or A.I.R., and/or A/C.
Alternator and water pump are standard on all engines.

Not 100% sure of the diameter, but from memory the larger Alt & WP groove is about 7-1/4", and the two smaller PS & A/C grooves are around 5-1/2" - 6".

I think this guy has listed the last digit of the part number wrong.

Re: Stock pulley diameters for 69 427????

Thanks BlackoutSteve, will I need the three groove crank pulley if I'm only running PS and ALT and WP?
I'm building from scratch so I have no mounts or pulleys to judge by.
Thanks
JZ

Re: Stock pulley diameters for 69 427????

The front-most groove is your WP & Alt. (and A.I.R.), the 2nd groove is for your PS, and the 3rd is your A/C.

If you're not running A/C (Woops, I somehow assumed you were) then use the 2 groove pully # 3937786.

But after reading this..

I think you need 3955290 with PS..

This one is 3955292 for 396 with no PS..

I'm not sure the 427 L72 and the L34/L35 would use the same pulleys, maybe you need the 3955291/L78 pulley listed here
