OK - Let me re-phrase it...

Can someone please help me check the numbers and see where all the parts originate from?

Thanks in advance

Block #3970010 (010 block), Crankshaft 3911001C, heads 3970126 and a 4-barrel inlet manifold 3783244 (out of a 1963 Corvette, I've been told).

Questions are: When was the block cast? The shaft made when? Is it true that the manifold is out of a '63 Corvette? I have they are pretty hard to come by, but don't know for sure.

Re: OK - Let me re-phrase it...

The 010 block could be anytime from '69 to '80. The heads are a '67-71 327/350 head, nothing special, the crank is a 307/327 medium journal, cast crank.

The intake is correct for a '62-63 Vette, but they aren't really desireable; a handful on eBay at any given time, fetching maybe $20-30.

What numbers are on the front passengers deck by the front of the head? Those numbers will help determine what the block came from; could be a DZ302, or could be a '77 one ton pickup.....

It's the letters at the end of the VIN numbers that should be on the little deck pad that's right above the pass. side top water pump bolt.

Post them back and we will try to decode it for you.
