No oil pressure port near dist.

Im almost to the point of starting my 69 Camaro and I just noticed something that bothers me. I have a 396 and I had a Edelbrock Preformer RPM intake put on a while ago. The thing I have noticed is thet I have no oil pressure port near the dist. I think the Performer might be covering it. i think it is a 7161 http://store.summitracing.com/partde...art=EDL%2D7161
&autoview=sku.

As you can see from the pic the manifold has a straight back and no notch for the oil pressure sensor to go.

The motor ran fine before i started all the work 2 years ago.

Should I be concerned ? Should I get another manifold ?

Thanks

Chris

Re: No oil pressure port near dist.

You will find your oil pressure tap directly above the oil filter mounting pad.

Re: No oil pressure port near dist.

Chris,
Just to clarify .... only Small Blocks have the port up by the distributor. Big Blocks are all "down under".
