Auto choke

This may be a dumb question. I am wondering is it OK to drive before the choke (Idle) goes off-down. I let the car warm up a little and get a good smooth idle before I take off. Should I wait for the Idle to drop?
After a block or two it drops.

Thanks 67for/me

Re: Auto choke

Most guys I know let the car warm up just a bit before they take off...I do as well. After a 1/2 min or so, just punch the gas a couple of times, and if adjusted right, it will settle down. When it's really cool, it may take a bit more time to set itself.
