oil pan clearance

I am installing a 454HO in my 69SS and I need some help , the motor has a composite timing cover so i think it is a fairly late model ,but the oil pan has a very long sump I mean from front to rear and I dont know if it will hit the frame when installed , I was just wondering if any one has ran across this and if so did the pan work and if not do they make a pan that will bolt right on. THANKS for any help..

Re: oil pan clearance

Robert, make sure you have the correct motor mount stands. BBc & Sbc are differant. Once you get beyound that point , see where you are if you havent already.
