Completed motor
Well I just got my motor home and I am looking forward to finishing the last few things and getting it in the car. It is a '67 4351 427 block, 67 rect port 858 heads, complete specs of the 427 425HP 67 motor (save 10:1 Hypereutectic pistons and a solid lifter cam that is stock specs but reduced profile for lower compression ratio) and is .030 over with a 6223 forged crank and correct coded water pump.
Just thought I would post some pics and ask one question - did the 67 BB's have cartridge style oil filters rather than the spin on style?

The '67 427 I had was original, and had the cartridge, as most if not all did until about '68, then it went to spin on.
'69 camaro, was orig SS 396 car.
original tranny & 12 bolt
Now:
568 ci, Merlin Pro block
Callies crank, Oliver rods
AFR CNC 325, Nash 5 speed, 9'' Ford 35 spline locker
F1 Procharger that will get on soon...
