harmonic balancer cover

Will 8 inch cover work on a 6 3/4 balancer?
Thanks

Re: harmonic balancer cover

Yes, if the water pump casing will allow it. There is 1/16 inch clearance between the balancer and w/pump.

Kenny
Don't forget you will need a new timing cover with the built on timing tab or a bolt on style timing tab for an 8" balancer. Can't set timing without one or the other.

Re: harmonic balancer cover

See? Good point, I forgot about timing tab, under one gets to the point physically.
