94 Or 97 Distributor

My son has a 1994 Camaro he total, He bought the same car again but it has a 1997 motor in it .My question is will the MSD distributor from the 1994 motor fit the 1997 motor. We had to do head gaskets on the new car [ 1997 motor ] Can any one could help with Torque spec. on intake, heads etc

you're talking a Z28 with an LT1 V8, right?
if so, the head bolts torque the same as any other small block. i forget the specs- but 60 on the short bolts/70 on the long bolts sound familiar to me. the info is here somewhere..
the intake, if i had to guess, would be torqued to 30-35 ft/lb.
as for the distributor, it might work. sometime in the run of the LT1, GM switched from a splined drive to the pin drive. i think it was in the 95 model year in the F body.
