Re: engine choice

I bet you can create a homemade 550hp/496 BB for under $4,000, but it will cost some MORE to install it, only b/c it's a BB swap!

Springs, rad., s/b, both frame and rubber mounts, etc....

I did!

Where is this place located? That seems like a pretty good price. Has anyone had any experience with this place?

Re: engine choice

I would stay away from them. I have an uncle who purchased one of there 408SBC's and has had some issues with what he ordered and what he actually received. First they were 6 weeks late on the motor and then we finally called they said it will ship that day. It didn't! He called back two weeks later and they said it was on the dyno and will ship the next day. Two weeks later he called again they said they were just crating it up.

This leads to this week. He gets the motor two weeks ago and some of the parts are different then what he ordered. Like a Petronix dist. instead of the MSD the paperwork says and a few other things.

Needless to say he and myself have called for two weeks now and only get an answering machine and no return phone calls.

He is gpoing to Myrtle Beach golfing next week and is making a surprise visit.

I would stay away!!!.
