crank pulleys

Hi guys
Haven't been able to get an answer on this one yet. I have a 350 motor.
I bought Z-28 deep groove pulleys for crank, water pump, alternator and power steering from Ground UP. When I put them on, all but the crank pulley lined up reasonably well, except for the crank pulley which stuck out about 1/4-3/8 too far. Big difference.
I can't sem to find out why this is happening.
First of all I thougth that ALL 69 pulleys were deep groove. Am I wrong? And if that is true, then what would be the difference in Z-28 pulleys and 350 pulleys??
second, Is there something different that would not allow 302 pulleys to be used on 350?
I had to use my old non deep groove crank pulley to make things line up again. Not sure where to go with this. Ground Up says this new crank pulley should work with Z_28s AND all 69 small blocks. Any help appreciated, particyularly as to differences between 302 and 350 motors and pulleys for them
