Quick Fuel Holly type carburator problems

I have a carburator that has gotten progressively worse. The rear bowl was assembled incorrectly with the gasket and fuel was running out of the back of the carb. We cured that with the proper placement. But now the fuel is flowing thru the primary venturi's heavily. Could a bad accellerator pump be allowing fuel to flow all of the time? I did put another carb. on the car and it ran much better, so I know the problem is with the carburator. The carburator is loading up with fuel. It make my BB run like sh--. We cant figure it out. Can anyone help???

My cell # is 561-301-0659 Call anytime with any help!!!

My e-mail is [email protected]

Thanks, Jon

Re: Quick Fuel Holly type carburator problems

Sounds to me like there is either something caught in the needle and seat not allowing the fuel to shut off or the float is adjusted too high allowing fuel into the rear boosters/venturies. I'm guessing this is a problem at idle. it's not the accel pump because that's down low and this problem is up high.
