BG Road Demon Choke

Got the rotor and dist. cap installed and it runs 100% better, however the choke will slam shut whenever I get on it.

I was having some issues with the choke closing even though the weather was warm enough to not need the choke so I pulled the power from the choke. That solved that problem but I am unsure as to why the choke has a mind of it's own.

At this point I would just like to lock the choke out and not even use it. Do I have to pull the whole choke assembly off the carb or can I some how wire it open?

Re: BG Road Demon Choke

You might be able to take some small guage wire (like bolt safety wire for example) thats bendable/shapeable and wire the choke linkage assembly open and anchor the other end to something on the carb.

With the air breather in place, you might not even see the wire.

Just a thought...

Can't you adjust to proper open/close with weather? Large black bakelite cap can be loosened and moved to hold open. No need to wire it open . you may need it. Thats what its for.
