Seller should provide a better pic of the deck stamp, as well as try to find the partial VIN near the oil filter.

Driving a #s-matching Z in the rain..... and lovin' it....

For $6k and more, it is not too much to ask.

My '67's 350SS block had two lines of VIN, a long small number line and a bigger numbers/letters line under it if I remember right?

Re: Think its really a Z-28 engine?

Seems odd, they'll scrape the paint for the DZ identification, but not the VIN? The V0129 DZ seems a little too perfect to me. My 67 RS/SS 350 (verified original motor) has sloppy numbering at best, and the VIN and ID are definitely stamped differently. I also have two 69 blocks, 1 blank and 1 with similar conditions.

Some guy out here in Cal tried selling his DZ motor on Craigslist, but when I read everything and looked at his pictures I confronted him. It was obviously a scam, and he just shrugged it off as a "clone sale" and said he never actually claimed it was the real thing.

Too many corrections with this guy, seems like trouble.
