Question 67 Big Block Conversion

hi new here but i will be picking up a 67 camaro this saturdaythe po did a bb conversion and missed a few details from what i have learned from searching here, i think he didnt use the right frame mounts? this is what i saw, drivers side header is against the steering box, he complained that the wiper motor would not fit(he does have tall valve covers),looking at the fan shrould from the back the blades and the shrould clearence- the drivers side has about a 1/2 inch of clearence the pass side is about maybe 1 1/2 inch or more - clearence making me think the motor needs to move to the pass side, does this sound correct? How do you identify the correct mounts? the po new there was different mounts but i think the guy who gave them to him mixed them up with sb mounts
thx for any help, im going to be a regular on here.

It's all here so please do a search.

Re: 67 Big Block Conversion

Easy check is look at motor from front and center bolt of carb should be 1 inch toward passenger side. You can even look a air cleaner top and if it is centered in car using hood lines you no you got the wrong mounts. Also crossmember mount is not centered between sub frame rails. 1 inch to passenger side. I have tall valve covers and can take them off with ease.
Turned my wiper motor one bolt and now clears good. The only change is the wiper blades cover about 90% of windshield and that does not effect much.
