Angry Stolen Camaro

Im not sure if Im posting this in the right place. My 73 Camaro was stolen last week & recovered by the police today. I went to survey the damage. My car was stripped of my 475Hp 383 w/th350 w/3000 converter. Since I have a shell Im determined to put her back together again. Im considering dropping in a LS1. For those that performed the swap how labor intensive is it. If anyone has any combo suggestions I would appreciate it. Im looking for a pump gas combo thats streetable & allow me to come home with low-mid 11 sec timneslips. Thanks in advance.

Re: Stolen Camaro

Man, I dont have the words.
An LS1 and sub 11's? That, believably(sp), is easy enough. Great motors and lots of power potential there. Ive seen some combos hit the 675hp mark on pump gas.
Good luck! And you have come to the right place for help!

Re: Stolen Camaro

LS1 swap means different things to different people... Do you want to run EFI or convert it to a carb? What trans do you want?

Most people working on it on the weekends take 6mos to a year to do an LS1 swap, but that usually includes doing a lot of other work that isn't really part of the swap (like steering upgrades, interior, rearend, etc).
