ZZ430 Real or Not

A friend bought a ZZ430 or he was told. I know they are numbered 1-430. Where would those numbers be located? Any help with genuine info is appreciated. We would like to see if it's genuine. It runs awsome.
Thanks

Re: ZZ430 Real or Not

I believe they are numbered right on the cast valve covers. Gilbert Chevrolet sells their version with the same covers but no production number on their covers.

Re: ZZ430 Real or Not

Found this on another forum.

Each ZZ430 engine will have an exclusive three-digit serial number CNC machined into unique 18° competition valve covers. The serial numbers will be 001 through 430. The valve covers, originally designed for GM sponsored NASCAR teams, are powder coated black and then CNC machined with the GM Performance Parts and ZZ430 logos in addition to the three digit serial number.

Re: ZZ430 Real or Not

What's differant on this motor compared to other ZZ etc, turn key motors. I see mention of 18 valve covers, does this mean this motor has 18 heads? I am reading where SDPC is building "duplicates" . I guess then there are more than just 430 of these motors?
