Another Cam Selection Question

I'm upgrading my motor in the next couple of weeks. I've researched the forum and see lots of information regarding cam selection, but not addressing my particular question. I've selected the heads, intake, etc. but need to get the right cam.

Here is what I have

69 Camaro
350 with flat top pistons, 4 relief valves
Holley 600 Carb
Edelbrock Performer Air Gap Intake
Edelbrock Performer RPM Aluminum Heads
Electronic ignition (Pertronix with vacuum advance)
1 5/8 headers
700R4 with an 1800 stall
3.50 posi (It has a Ford 9 in it)
Power brakes
Vintage a/c

I want to have a cam that makes a little noise, but one that performs well with my existing setup, including the 1800 stall. I drive in Atlanta and frequently get in bumper-to-bumper traffic and that is one reason I don't want to go with a stall much bigger. This car will rarely see the strip. I have talked to both Lunati and Crane Cam folks and here is what they have recommended:

Lunati 60103 cam
1800 to 6200 rpm
268/276
227/223 @50
489/504 lift
110 isa

Crane 113522 cam
1800 to 5800 rpm
268/280
218/230 @50
459/486
107 isa

Both manufacturers say that these cams will work with my setup. But surely some of you guys have a similar setup. What do you think, will they work?

Rick

Re: Another Cam Selection Question

Imho, go w/ the Lunati VooDoo 268 that was created by UDHarold and you should be just about dead-nuts on for a great DD cam.

Re: Another Cam Selection Question

Thanks for replying. Will I have any problems with the 1800 stall and this cam?
