diference between the L35 and the L34

Anybody know the diference between the L35 and the L34 block,I know the L35 had a two bolt main and cast crank, but where did the extra 25 horses come from on the L34?

The L34 had a hotter hydraulic cam with more duration.

Ok, I thought it had to be the cam or heads, thanks.

Re: diference between the L35 and the L34

L-34 = 350/360hp and has the 214/218, 115/???, .461"/.480" cam.

L-35 = 325 hp and has the 196/196, 113/???, .398"/.398" cam.

Otherwise, they are basically the same engine.

I think both engines started out w/ Holleys and later switched to Q-Jets. Probably not in the same years tho?

Re: diference between the L35 and the L34

In the Camaro there was no L34 in '67 and the L35 was equipped with a Q-jet. Block castings were 3902406 or 3916323. In '68 both were available, had Q-jets and block castings were 3916323 or 3935440. '69 was the same as '68 but with these block castings, 3935440 or 3955272 or 3969854. The L34 in the Camaro was rated 350hp in '68 and '69...
