header wrap issues?

Has anyone tried that header wrap, and if so was it any good at protecting the starter from be cooked?

yes it works great BUT in a few years your headers will rot.
(retains moisture )

Also causes the headers to crack from internal heat. Hooker won't even warrenty headers that have been wrapped.Like the other poster said use the starter wrap instead.

Well, what if one has stainless headers?

I'd like to wrap the part closest to the starter AND use the shield. I've cooked several starters and I want to avoid that when I get my mini.
