ZZ4 distributor gear

I have the HEI that came with my new engine, but am putting in a Summit "Summit SUM-850055" dizzy with a iron gear for hyd roller cams. Is this the same thing as a melonized gear GM requires? If not can I swap my gear from the HEI to the Summit dizzy or do I need to order the P/N 10456413 GM gear OR is the gear on the HEI the 10456413?

Re: ZZ4 distributor gear

I called Summit and this is what they sent me via email (good service):

"The gears on the Summit branded distributors are a hardened steel alloy, specifically; nitro carburized 1144. This is the exact same material/process that is used by both General Motors and Ford on their OEM distributor gears and is compatible with the drive gears on both the flat tappet and hydraulic roller camshafts"

Can anyone refute this to be a concern?
