Re: chrome hood hinges

They are really nice....and I'm sure expensive to make...but $625 for a set is a big ouch in my budget...any way to get a version of these at a way lower price??? Besides stealing them... :>)

I don't think any decent chrome/billet hinges are going to be cheap.

You could always try painting your existing hinges. You could even try a shiny paint or powder coating, should be a lot cheaper (the above hinges are really nice thou, someday when I have a budget for them).

I was able to get mine to look brand new (after really looking bad):

This is with Eastwood's Zinc-phosphate paint. Picture really doesn't do them justice, they look brand new and have a great texture to them.

Some type of chrome or shiny silver powder coat might get you close. Just a thought.

Re: chrome hood hinges

If you cannot go for the ultimate billet. We have ceramic coated (header coat) originals and they look nice. Better then chrome.

Re: chrome hood hinges

Our local ceramic coat guy charges $120 a set to do yours.

Yes the billet hinges are available for 1st gen and second gen (dfferent hinges) in natural polish and black hardcoat anodize. I will post some pics ofd the black ones we are installing on a red 69 we are finishing now.
